Since antiquity, man has always tried to make everything around him look good. A research that has involved both great works of art and everyday objects.
Our journey to rediscover the Venetian manufacture of Geminiano Cozzi is a tribute to this ancient tradition, and began with the recovery of ancient decorations, jealously preserved in its archives. These decorations, reproduced and applied rigorously by hand, are entrusted to our master decorators, all Italian craftsmen carefully selected for their creative spirit and craftsmanship.
The first pieces made have aroused intense emotion and confirmed a conviction: that nothing is more contemporary than classic. A concept that manifests itself as much in the masterpieces preserved in art museums as in the objects that adorn an elegant table.
The shapes and decorations of our collections have been inspired from the ancient archives of the Manufacture and at the same time encourage the creation of new modern and customised pieces. Objects that become main characters in the art of receiving, ideal for restaurants, luxury hotels, residences and private homes.
All of this, however, would not have been possible without a rigorous production process and, above all, without the highest quality materials.
Geminiano Cozzi 1765 today devotes itself mainly to the production of Fine Bone China (Fine Bone Porcelain), also known as phosphate porcelain or bone china, a precious and sustainable material that not only enchants with its aesthetics, but also adopts an ecological approach.
Its secret recipe is in fact a mixture of kaolin, calcium phosphate and calcined bovine bone ash - an element that would otherwise be released into the environment, whereas here it is reused in a sustainable way. The raw material is then transformed into objects of extraordinary, almost ethereal lightness, thanks to their elastic and flexible nature. The result is an extremely shiny, translucent and vitrified surface that is free of porosity and resistant to odours and stains.
Fine Bone China (Fine Bone Porcelain) is the symbol of our mission: to revolutionise the table design while keeping alive the traditions that define us.
